Prestashop Module Facebook registration

Facebook data registration module in PrestaShop gives your custumers possibility to create new account using their Facebook profile data.

Module is supported by all major browsers:

• Mozilla Firefox
• Internet Explorer 7 - 8 - 9
• Safari
• Chrom
• Opera

Back office features:

• Save application codes, received from Facebook application registration service
• Set width and height of Facebook registration form

Front office features:

• Display Facebook profile data
• Copy Facebook profile data (first name, last name, email, birth date, gender, city) to PrestaShop registration form

Installation:

• Unzip archive fbreg.zip;
• Upload Prestashop v 1.3 or Prestashop v 1.3 directory contents to your PrestaShop root catalog.
• Login to your PrestaShop admin panel;
• Find Facebook profile data registration module under Modules tab in Other category;
• Click install;

Register your application to Facebook:

• Log in to your facebook account.  Then navigate to the URL listed below.

     http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php

• Enter the application name as you wish it to appear in the Facebook stream.

     NOTE:  Cannot contain Facebook trademarks or have a name that can be confused with an application built by Facebook.

• Once you've clicked to agree to terms and entered the captcha, you're presented with the Application Settings page.  It's at this point that you can fill out some additional info, add an image/icon, provide contact info for your application, as well as find your application ID.

 

• While you may want to play around and fill out the additional info on all the tabs, you only need to fill in the info for the "About" tab and the "Web Site" tab.

     NOTE:  Facebook is particular about how some of the information is entered.  It will provide you an error message if you put something in wrong, just fix it and save.

• When you click on the "Web Site" tab, you'll find the Application ID and Application Secret codes.  Follow instructions below to add these codes into module.

Add application ID and application secret codes into module:

• Login to your PrestaShop admin panel;
• Find Facebook profile data registration module under Modules tab in Other Modules category;
• Click configure;
• Add App ID, App Secret codes and click update;
