Simple and robust auction for the most common functionality with appealing front office and back office design.
Auction Main Features
Administrator:
Create / Edit auctions:
- Select product category
- Select product
- Select auction completion condition (either auction finishes on end time or(and) when max. price is reached)
- Indicate whether auction is active
- Set auction start date and time
- Set auction end date and time
- You may also add taxes to starting bid and max. price
- Set auction starting bid
- Set auction max. price
- Set auction min. offer step
- Set minimal time interval between bids
When editing auctions you may also:
- View auction status
- View winning bidder and his email address
- View auction current price
- View auction "Buy Now" price
- Use "view auction" button to view auction in FrontOffice
- Use "Open/Close auction" buttons to close or start auctions manually
- Use "Restart auction" button to restart auction from it's starting bid again
- Use "Delete auction" button to delete auction
- View/Manage auction payment history (date, customer, email, product, price, status, delete, clear history)
- View/Manage auction bidding history (ID, customer, IP address, price, date, ban user, activate/deactivate bid, delete bid, winner, delete all bids)
View auctions list:
- ID, Product name, Bids count, Winning bidder, Auction start time, Auction end time, Starting bid, Current price
- Enable/Disable auctions
- Edit auctions
- Delete auctions
- View auctions in FrontOffice
- View auction status icon (in progress, has not strated yet, disabled, finished)
Manage settings:
- Enable/Disable "Buy now" button
- Set auctions updating time
- Set bidder name appearence (Full name, First name and first letter of last name, First name, First letters of first and last names)
- Indicate whether guests can report reviews
- Enable/Disable nicknames
- Set number of emails to be sent at once
- Enable/Disable auctions winners emailing
- Enable/Disable autoclosing finished auctions
View notifications about unpaid auctions and unprocessed payments directly on BackOffice starting page
Customer:
- View auctions in product-list or(and) homefeatured module (auction current price, time counter)
- View auctions (time counter, auction ending date, winning bidder, current price, starting bid, bids count, min. bidding step)
- Edit nickname (must be signed in)
- View auction bidding history
- Auction updates price, winning bidder, bids count in administrator defined period of time (default: 30s.)
- Buy now button and buy noew price
- Offer bid (value is checked for validity)
- Warning message is displayed if price has been outbidded
- Auction finishes as soon as time expires or max. price is reached
"My auctions" page in "My account" section (unpayed auctions count is displayed in brackets):
- My current activity page - list of auctions, that user has participated in recently (product, my price, current price, winning bidder, bids history)
- My payment history page - list of auctions, that user had won (product, price, date, status):
* View order status if item was paid for
* View order details if item was paid for
* "Pay now" button if item is still not paid for
- Options page - edit nickname
- Creates competition among buyers--auction price can exceed the price of a negotiated sale!
- An auction generates excitement and heightens buyer interest.
- Reduces the time product is on the market
- Auction brings buyers to a decision point--they most act now or loose an opportunity to purchase (No cooling off period).
- Seller knows when the property will sell.
- Placing buyers into an open competitive situation will usually achieve the best results.
- The absence of a set price attracts buyers from all price ranges, with each having a different opinion as to what they would pay for your property.
- Higher level of buyer activity
- Purchase the product at fair market value
- Eliminates long negotiation periods.
- Buyer knows that sellers are selling at the lowest price possible.
